• MICHAEL SCHWARZER ART:

  Michael Schwarzer’s body of work came out of, and exhibits, forced change. After 30 years in NYC, twenty of which fully supporting fine artists, with nothing but time and nowhere to go, he became one. The body of work in this collection is part of a series titled “Resilience”-A One Woman Show, as he refers to it. Michael, a lover of street art, coupled his lock-down photo series sessions with his years of street art photography. In street fashion, he prints out, pastes up, paints over while also incorporating re-claimed paste-ups from NYC streets at times. There are several layers at work here combined with a forward-thinking sensibility,
  attracting an audience from upstate to downstate.

  All canvas works shown here were created between August 2021 and May 2022.

  KARIN BRUCKNER ART:

  Karin Bruckner’s work is process driven, an ongoing investigation into making marks and layering. Each work on paper becomes a unique piece responding to the materials and techniques at hand, resulting in a widely varied yet distinctive portfolio.
  At the core of the dialogue between Karin and the work is an attempt to push the medium of printmaking to its limits. The Print serves as a catalyst into further exploration, straddling the lines between printmaking, drawing, painting and collage in an authentically mixed media way. The spring board printmaking carries with it the element of surprise and the inevitability of the “happy accident” which Karin credits for immensely expanding her artistic sensibilities. The work evolves and resides in the space created by Pull and Push.
